About the Role
This is a generalist HR role with a strong focus on safer recruitment, compliance, and employee relations. You will work closely with senior leadership to support our residential homes, ensuring all HR processes are robust, inspection-ready, and aligned with Ofsted requirements.
The role also includes oversight of Health and Safety compliance across our homes, with regular site visits to ensure standards are maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
● Provide HR advice and guidance to managers across residential care settings
● Support employee relations processes including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, and performance
● Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and safer recruitment compliance (DBS, Right to Work, references, etc.)
● Maintain accurate HR records and ensure staff files are fully compliant and inspection-ready
● Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding standards, and UK employment legislation
● Support training compliance and workforce development tracking
● Assist with drafting and updating HR policies and procedures
● Take responsibility for Health and Safety compliance across homes, including audits and site visits
● Support continuous improvement of HR systems and processes
What We’re Looking For:
● CIPD Level 3 qualified or working towards (Level 5 desirable)
● Experience in HR, recruitment, or compliance-focused roles
● Knowledge of safer recruitment and safeguarding requirements
● Experience in regulated environments (children’s residential care, education, healthcare) is highly desirable
● Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
● Confident communicator with the ability to support and advise managers
● Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
