We're currently looking for an experienced HR and Payroll Administrator to join our team and take ownership of payroll processing and HR administrative tasks.


Position Overview:

The HR and Payroll Administrator will manage the end-to-end payroll process and provide day-to-day HR administrative support. This role sits at the intersection of people operations and finance, reporting directly to the Director of Accounting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in both payroll and HR functions.


Key Responsibilities:


Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and in compliance with all applicable regulations
Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS and payroll systems
Assist with employee benefits administration and open enrollment
Support new hire onboarding, terminations, and employee changes
Serve as the primary point of contact for employee questions related to payroll, benefits, and HR policies
Coordinate with the accounting team on payroll reconciliations, audits, and reporting
Ensure compliance with provincial and federal employment laws
Contribute to HR initiatives and assist with internal communication and documentation

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in payroll administration and HR support
Strong understanding of payroll processes, employment laws, and compliance standards
Proficiency in payroll and HR software (e.g., Sage 50, BambooHR)
High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Human Resources, or related field preferred
HR certification is a plus
