Job Summary

Would you like to drive excellence in the delivery of HR services in a highly professional and fast-paced environment?

We are looking for an HR Country Representative for the UK & Ireland who will work closely with business leaders and different HR stakeholders, including the HR Service Center delivering core HR services; HR Business Partners focusing on organisational design & development, and the Competence and Support Centre custodians of HR products and services.

In this position, you will be responsible for local HR practices, including labour and government relations, local policies and procedures, local reward services, reporting and compliance. You will support all organizations based in United Kingdom and Ireland, currently including 3 legal entities in Dublin, Windsor and London Paddington.

This is a permanent office-based position at our new London Paddington premises with flexible working.

Travel up to 10% may be required.

What You Will Do
• Lead the review of local rewards strategy, policies and guidelines in the countries, including compensation review guidelines and benefits programs, working closely with the global Reward team and HR Country Committee. Guaranteeing the quality and application of the benefits across the geography.
• Drive labour relations strategy in the countries and managing relations with appropriate bodies to secure regular agreements. Effective handling of grievances, investigations, disciplinaries and whistleblowing cases.
• Act as a link between employees and managers in case of conflicts and recommending corrective actions.
• Advise on local regulations or updates where appropriate for role (e.g. labour law, compensation & benefits, privacy, human rights, etc). Ensure compliance with local regulations including regulatory requirements on HR core processes and country specific regulatory training.
• Manage internal /external audits and tribunal claims, including interacting with internal and external legal counsels and representing Tetra Pak in tribunal/court when required.
• Manage government relations and reporting: monitoring changes in country regulations and ensuring compliance; being the main contact with local country government authorities, such as social security, Labour Office and others.
• Implement and govern applicable local country policies, proactively updating all local employee handbooks and policies.
• Support HR Business Partners in driving Employee Engagement actions for local country specific issues.
• Secure legal compliance of HR processes and drive alignment with global processes where possible. Guarantee the legal compliance of the resourcing process.
• Facilitate company-initiated termination process and secure legal compliance and governance.
• Manage compliance and enforcement of local privacy laws and of Group Policies and Procedure.
• Ensure compliance with the relevant legislation related to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and monitor its performance.

We believe you have

The successful candidate is an HR professional with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. You possess deep expertise in labour law and have previous experience working with Compensation & Benefits in a multinational environment. You are an excellent negotiator with resilience and a focus on delivering mutually beneficial solutions. You have good business understanding, and have successfully built relationships with internal clients, colleagues, councils and authorities in your current or previous work experience.

Furthermore, you have a high level of integrity and autonomy. You are willing to take the lead, prioritise and plan competing demands. You excel at delivering tangible results despite a high level of ambiguity. Your communication skills are strong, and you are comfortable working across functions and levels. Also, you are experienced in and comfortable with handling tough discussions on both individual and organisational levels.

You are CIPD Level 7 qualified or have a university degree in Labour Law, and you are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
