Job Description
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate and manage the full onboarding lifecycle for new hires, including pre-hire documentation, orientation scheduling, and first-day readiness
• Serve as the primary onboarding contact for new employees, hiring managers, and internal stakeholders
• Conduct new hire orientations (virtual and/or in-person) with confidence, clarity, and professionalism
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of all onboarding documents (I-9, tax forms, policy acknowledgments, benefits enrollment, etc.)
• Communicate onboarding instructions, timelines, and expectations clearly and effectively
• Enter and maintain employee data in HRIS/payroll systems with a high degree of accuracy
• Partner with HR, Payroll, IT, and Benefits teams to ensure a smooth transition for new hires
• Respond to employee inquiries related to onboarding, benefits eligibility, and next steps
• Track onboarding metrics and identify opportunities to improve the new hire experience
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations
Requirements
Required Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent professional experience or degree
• Strong English speaking ability required: must be able to clearly explain onboarding processes, policies, and expectations verbally in a professional business setting
• Excellent written English communication skills, including emails, instructions, and documentation
• Proven ability to conduct live onboarding sessions, orientations, or presentations with confidence
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple onboarding processes simultaneously while meeting deadlines
• Proficiency with HRIS, payroll, and onboarding systems specifically Workday and Dayforce (Ceridian) Systems preferred
• Strong customer service mindset with a professional, approachable demeanor
• Prior experience in HR onboarding, HR operations, or employee services
• Experience supporting multi-state or high-volume onboarding environments
• Familiarity with employment eligibility verification and compliance requirements
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
