Job Description
The purpose of this position is to facilitate the onboarding process for all camp staff and volunteers from May through August 2026. This role requires strict confidentiality and a strong attention to detail. During the spring semester, the student will have the opportunity to work with the HR team and their stakeholders on recruitment, onboarding, benefits and wellness, compliance, and a variety of other HR-related functions. The ideal candidate must be available to work up to 10 hours per week through the end of August 2026.
Responsibilities:
Spring Semester Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support and oversight for the student employment program.
Uphold the confidentiality and security of sensitive employee information.
Provide general administrative support to the HR department as needed.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Camp Onboarding Responsibilities:
(May through the end of summer camp season in August 2026)
Oversee Camp Onboarding:
Manage the end-to-end onboarding process for all camp staff and volunteers, ensuring all pre-employment requirements are met.
Coordinate Communication:
Serve as the primary contact for onboarding information, providing clear instructions and updates to camp staff, volunteers, and coordinators.
Track Progress:
Maintain accurate records and monitor onboarding progress using HR systems and spreadsheets, ensuring timely completion of all steps.
Facilitate Team Coordination:
Participate in regular check-ins with camp and event staff to keep everyone aligned on onboarding statuses.
Support Payroll & Records:
Coordinate with camp coordinators on payroll matters, complete necessary documentation, and maintain organized records for all camp hires.
Requirements:
Must be a current full-time student at Maryville University.
Must be Federal Work-Study eligible or be approved for Institutional Work-Study and available to work during the 2026 spring semester through the end of August 2026.
Available to work 10 hours per week (Monday-Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm).
Compensation:
Hourly pay rate: $15.25
Performance and Evaluation:
Regular performance feedback will be provided, along with a formal evaluation.
