Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
As our HR Administrator, you’ll be a key support to our HR and Safety functions, handling a wide variety of responsibilities that make a meaningful difference every day:
Maintain and update employee records in our HRIS, payroll, benefits, pension, and ERP systems.
Coordinate benefits and pension enrollments, transfers, and terminations.
Support recruitment by posting jobs, reviewing resumes, coordinating interviews, and working with hiring managers.
Create engaging social media posts and assist with employer branding and recruitment marketing.
Help bring our culture to life by coordinating employee events, celebrations, and milestone recognition.
Assist employees and managers with questions about policies, collective agreements, benefits, pension, and safety programs.
Support the Safety team with WCB documentation, inspections, reports, and training programs.
Onboard new hires—creating badges, new hire packages, and helping deliver orientation sessions.
Maintain bulletin boards, prepare mass communications, and help design posters and promotional materials.
Run reports, track HR metrics, and assist with special HR projects.
Support the payroll team for processing salary and hourly payrolls.
Serve as a backup and provide coverage when the HR Supervisor is away.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma, preferably in Human Resources Management or a related field or on-the-job experience.
1 to 2 years of experience in a multi-disciplined Human Resources environment.
Having a CPHR Candidate status, working towards or having a strong desire to attain is considered an asset.
Experience using HRIS, Payroll Systems, or ERP systems is strongly preferred.
Experience in a unionized environment is considered an asset.
