KAS, Inc. is looking for a meticulous and proactive HR & Accounting Associate to support the finance and administration departments of a Premier Global Automotive Technology Leader (Hyundai Subsidiary) in Irvine.
In this dual-focus role, you will be a vital part of daily business operations, bridging the gap between human resources and financial functions. You will ensure accuracy in bookkeeping and month-end closings while supporting key administrative functions, including employee relations, payroll, and compliance. Key Responsibilities
Human Resources & Administration
HR Operations: Support daily HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and performance management.
Payroll Administration: Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing in coordination with the accounting team.
Compliance: Oversee and maintain compliance with federal and state employment laws and company policies.
Data Integrity: Manage HR data, records, and reporting to ensure confidentiality and accuracy.
Workplace Culture: Support leadership in fostering a positive, compliant, and productive work environment aligned with company values and strategic goals.
Accounting & Finance
Daily Bookkeeping: Manage daily accounting activities, including precise data entry, journal entries, and transaction recording.
AP/AR Management: Prepare and process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions to ensure timely and accurate payments.
Reconciliations & Closing Support: Perform regular reconciliations of bank and credit card statements. Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes by gathering, organizing, and analyzing financial data.
Financial Reporting & Compliance: Assist in preparing financial reports and schedules for management review. Ensure compliance with IFRS and/or GAAP standards and support internal/external audits (including SOX).
Cash & Tax Support: Monitor bank balances, assist with cash management, and support the preparation of federal, state, and local tax filings.
Internal Controls: Help implement and maintain internal controls to reduce risks and ensure adherence to company procedures.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bilingual Requirement (Critical): Fluency in both English and Korean is required. You must be able to effectively communicate financial data, HR reports, and day-to-day matters with local team members and overseas HQ.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
Experience: 2–5 years of progressive experience blending accounting, bookkeeping, and HR/administrative duties. Experience with GAAP/IFRS reporting standards and external audits is highly valued.
Technical Skills: High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables). Experience with ERP/accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar systems) is required.
Attributes: Strong attention to detail, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Professionalism: High level of integrity, confidentiality, and discretion when handling sensitive financial and employee information.
Physical Requirements & Work Conditions
Standard office duties in a professional setting.
Occasional weekend and/or evening work may be required to meet critical month-end or year-end deadlines.

Base Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 per year
