The Company

Founded in 2007, today, B2Gold has operating gold mines in Mali, Namibia and the Philippines, the Goose Project under construction in northern Canada, and numerous development and exploration projects in various countries including Mali, Colombia and Finland.

Position

Human Resources Advisor, Nunavut

Location and Reporting Structure

Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, this position will be a fly in- fly out 2x2 rotation based in Nunavut, Canada.

Responsibilities

Assists Supervisors, Superintendents and Managers, in coaching employees, providing constructive feedback on performance, attendance and/or behavioral concerns, and the preparation of guidance memoranda or Letters of Expectations (LoE) where appropriate.
Review employee relations matters that exceed the regular and customary management thresholds, conduct a preliminary assessment to determine if an investigation is warrant.
Guides Supervisors, Superintendents and Managers through the required due diligence when exercising discipline when coaching and expectation setting is unsuccessful, or in a situation where disciplinary action is warranted in a first instance.
Act as the onsite representative for all customary Human Resources matters; including participating in meetings, being a visibly present throughout site, attending cultural events and ensuring that employee concerns are addressed proactively and where required, brought to the attention of the General Manager and Manager, Human Resources when appropriate.
Maintain and update manual and computerized files, Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), registration systems, and the compiling and preparation of reports and documents relating to Human Resources activities.
Prepares, analyzes, and presents key HR data for reporting purposes.
Assist the Human Resources Business Partner with disability management.
Participates in ongoing training and learning opportunities as well as HR projects and initiatives.
Be available to promptly address sensitive employee matters, escalating to the appropriate authority when required.

Desired Competencies and Requirements

Five (5) years of Human Resources Generalist experience, including with experience working in remote sites with limited access to resources.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or a related field.
Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation is an asset.

Compensation and Benefits

For informational purposes, the annual salary for this role is $142,500.00
