Responsibilities
The HR Coordinator II is responsible to the HR Partner and provides direct support to the HR Manager
The HR Coordinator II maintains a working knowledge and expertise of Workday, as well as all applicable university policies and procedures to advise and support CCIE employees
The position delivers HR services, fields questions on HR practices and strategies, and works with the HR Partner and/or Manager to provide a high level of customer service to the college
Coordinate and advise on recruitment and hiring procedures for all employee types (staff, faculty, student, adjunct, graduate assistant, post-doctoral, temporary)
Develop and submit Job Requisitions, for national/local search efforts and manage applicant tracking, ensure diversity, process offers, tenure vote, and on-boarding in Workday and college
Serve as search manager to assist search chair/committee to ensure compliance with applicable rules, university guidelines, and college practices
Provide support with procedural issues, and mandatory training, and create and maintain search committee notices, minutes, and search records for faculty and staff, as appropriate
Collaborate with HR Partner and/or Manager for compensation requests, such as salaries for new faculty and staff hires, reclassification or natural progression; confidential and/or complex HR issues, international procedures, training, or professional development needs
Process actions in Workday for faculty and staff, i.e., continuing agreements, adjunct agreements, academic appointments, promotion and tenure decisions, awards, sabbatical, parental leave, retirement, and teaching qualifications via the Faculty Qualifications Management System (FQMS), including requesting and processing transcripts
Maintain working knowledge of applicable rules, policies, and procedures, to review and process employee changes in Workday for hires, transfers, approved compensation changes, continuing faculty and adjunct agreements, dual compensation requests, promotions, award and one-time payments
Coordinate with units to support, collect, and review performance appraisals for faculty and staff, faculty annual reports, assignment of duties, record keeping/retention, and mandatory university trainings
Coordinate and process employee termination/separation and off-boarding procedures in Workday and in the college, and exit interviews, as needed
Provide back-up support to the timekeepers and to the center team members, as needed for all actions in the college
Other duties as assigned

The Opportunity:

UCF’s College of Community Innovation and Education (CCIE) Human Resources Business Center (HRBC) is currently accepting applications for a Human Resources (HR) Coordinator II to join their team! The HR Coordinator II is responsible to the HR Partner and provides direct support to the HR Manager. Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or Equivalent and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.21+. Click here for more information

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree.
• Higher education experience.
• Working knowledge of human resources rules, regulations, processes, and procedures and ability to explain facts, policies, and procedures to others.
• Ability to work independently and be part of a team environment while developing highly effective and valued professional relationships with peers, colleagues, and cross-functional teams and to conduct oneself in an ethical manner.
