Job description
H Mart is looking for Human Resources Coordinator, who has a basic knowledge of human resources functions, from hiring to on-boarding and from employee compensation to evaluation.
If you have a passion for HR, are familiar with labor law and look to kick-start your career in the field, this is the place to be. You'll undertake a wide range of HR tasks, like organizing training sessions, administering employee benefits and leaves and crafting HR policies. You will ensure all employee records are up-to-date and confidential. You'll act as the main point of contact for employees' queries on HR-related topics. The goal is to ensure the HR department's operations will be running smoothly and effectively to deliver maximum value to the organization as a whole.
Responsibilities but not limited to:
• Assist with all internal and external HR related matters
• Participate in developing organizational guidelines and procedures
• Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates
• Investigate complaints brought forward by employees
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local employment, pay and workplace laws and regulations
• Partner closely with Legal, Payroll department to establish alignment and respond to compliance inquiries
• Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices
• Provide support in all HR - related disciplines, including, but not limited to, organizational development, employee relations, talent management, organizational redesign, and performance management and employee development
• Coordinate and execute all aspects of bringing onboard a new employee including scheduling orientation, preparing new hire packets, collecting and processing new hire paperwork, interfacing with payroll/benefits
Qualifications / Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or the related field is required
• Basic knowledge of COBRA, diversity/EEO, FMLA, and related state and federal regulations is preferred and must have a strong intellectual curiosity to stay informed against complaint with employment laws and HR practice
• Ability to build strong employee relations, attention to details, and communication skills across all levels of the organization
• Work comfortably under pressure and meets tight deadlines
• Meticulous and attention to detail
• Bilingual in English and Korean preferred
