The Engineering function is responsible for all engineering activities within the firm to ensure that business objectives are met. Includes the creation, development, design, and improvement of products, equipment, facilities, services, standards, and procedures in all engineering fields.
The primary responsibility of this job is to ensure the growth of the organization’s technology portfolio through concept/idea formulation and prototype development in line with the business strategy, requirement, and specifications. These individuals participate in the evolution and development of new innovative architectures and methods to maintain, upgrade, replace and improve the long-term performance of the existing architectures. They will be required to interact with development teams, Project Managers and Business Analysts and create and/or translate business requirements into executable plans.
Working at NTT
Directs the planning, development, implementation, administration, and budgeting of most or all of the following human resource functions: compensation, benefits, employment, employee relations, , organizational development, HRIS, training, health and safety services programs and company’s diversity and inclusion initiatives. Advises company management in personnel policy and program matters, making or recommending appropriate decisions as consistent with strategic direction. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Job Description
HR Management is responsible for the implementation of HR strategy and the achievement of HR goals. This individual collaborates with internal stakeholders to provide coaching and leadership with the objective of enabling their HR teams to achieve the HR strategy. This position works with internal stakeholders to ensure that the execution or human resources practices are in line with overall HR strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Strategy
The HR Manager contributes to the HR strategy that will deliver local strategic objectives in support of global and regional organisational strategy. They ensure the ongoing implementation of global policies and the introduction of policies to ensure local compliance. The HR Manager collaborates with the Legal department to ensure legal compliance and relevance of employment contracts.
Workforce Planning
They are responsible for pipeline management and accurate people forecasting and resourcing adhering to the global workforce planning policy and processes.
Reward and Recognition
The HR Manager works closely with the Remuneration team and trains managers on the process of remuneration governance in the business. They introduce the Total Reward concept to key managers, and evaluate and review the implementation of the salary increase and bonus processes and make suggestions for improvement where applicable. They implement the various remuneration related processes, ensuring that all employees are aware of these processes. They also drive the implementation of the Excellence Program and ensure that nominations and awards are adjudicated.
HR Operations
Responsible for the compilation of monthly reports and HR metrics and discuss these with the management team at monthly meetings. They co-ordinate the HR events calendar and ensure implementation thereof.
Employee Engagement
The HR Manager and HRBP is responsible for local employee engagement.
When required they drive the co-ordination and implementation of the employee satisfaction and best company to work for surveys. They collate and provide feedback to management teams regarding the results of such surveys and other trends and assist with the development of strategies to continuously improve the employee experience. They drive the organizational culture by sharing best practices, developing and sustaining cross functional relationships and filtering information downwards.
People Management
As a manager of the HR team, they are responsible for operational management of the team, creating and executing on plans and reporting on the team activities in the required forums. Working closely with the HR organization, they oversee the management of the human resource information systems and necessary reports for critical analyses of the HR function and the people resources of the region.
Partner with leadership teams
These individuals will act as an extension of the relevant stakeholder group and work with them to understand and identify their human resource related needs and compile plans and strategies, in conjunction with the relevant HR team, to address the HR requirements. As such, they will need to display innovation by proactively identifying opportunities for improvement, new innovations and new approaches.
Manage talent and workforce initiatives
Works with the relevant HR team to identify key talent, succession candidates and high-potential employees for inclusion in corporate development programs. They will need to contribute to Workforce Planning efforts and ensure that Workforce Planning data is used in their assigned stakeholder group for workforce budgets and plans.
Analytics and trend tracking
Senior HR Business Partners use data for analysis and trend establishment to understand performance and productivity drivers in the relevant employee base. They will be required to contribute to this process and to translate data and analytics into stakeholder reports.
Basic Qualifications
• MBA/PGD in Human resources
• Nine or more years of human resources experience
• Five or more years of leadership or supervisory experience
• Experience working with human resources principles, practices and procedures
• Experience working with human resources laws and regulations
• Experience working with key financial indicators of the unit and organization
Other Qualifications
• Strong presentation, interpersonal skills for interacting with management and employees on various human resources issues
• Strong analytical skills and comprehension skills for understanding needs and concerns and developing and applying solutions
• Strong communication and negotiation skills for communicating and resolving grievance issues
• Expert in human relations and ability to maintain high level of confidentiality regarding employee information
• Attention to details with good acumen to latest HRIS tools like Workday
