The role will require you to lead a team of HR professionals, ensuring the development of a positive and fulfilling culture for the people we support (PWS) and the people we employ (PWE) by engaging with services and teams to understand the pulse of the organisation. Be present in services (where appropriate) to ensure that there is an understanding of PWE and PWS and their needs, and that our policies and processes facilitate and support. Be enthusiastic about people and relentless about making a difference and fulfilling lives.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Advocacy
• Be an advocate for Millennium and support the 5 strategic pillars which will deliver the overall vision and mission for the future.
• Lead a team of advisors and administrators providing coaching and direction on PWE matters.
• Project lead, own and communicate the ‘people plan’ which are critical to quality delivery.
• Drive accreditation through having a dynamic and people-centred people focus.
• Lead on change management and consultation where relevant.
Reward and Recognition
• Own and develop competitive reward propositions, which fosters a positive work culture and focuses on the motivation, retention, and performance alignment with Millenniums overall strategy for the PWE.
• Benchmark compensation packages against industry standards and recommend adjustments to remain competitive within the market
• Support the annual salary reviews and pay design to ensure internal equity
• Conduct regular surveys for the PWE to gage satisfaction and use the survey feedback to suggest recommendations to current practices
Coaching and Development
• Coach and develop managers and business leaders in on relevant employment law and HR best practices.
• Coach and develop HR professionals building clear succession within the team
• Support the development of effective people communication through The Voice.
Compliance and Reporting
• Ensure all HR policies are compliant with UK employment law, including (but not limited to) GDPR, the Equality Act 2010, and Health and Safety Regulations.
• Analyse data and prepare reports for SLT providing insights and recommendations on people practices i.e. improved retention, recruitment etc.
• Manage the budget for the People Team.
• Handle higher-level ER case management where applicable.
Stakeholder Management
• Build stakeholder relationships across all functions.
• Partner with services to manage KPIs of attrition, absence, and engagement.

Experience
• Sector experience working in people-facing roles within a Health and Social Care environment.
• Successfully leading and/or creating an operational team that aspires to successful outcomes.
• Proven history in providing strong customer service.
• Direct experience of delivering quality front-line services.
Skills
• Great organisational and communication skills, ability to demonstrate competence to senior internal/external partners, and be able to prioritise and be personally efficient with a number of demands.
• Able to role model and demonstrate and lead on the values, initiatives, and culture of the organisation.
• Good organisational skills – managing multi-faceted tasks.
• To be a trusted confidante on operational issues, unafraid of giving your opinions and expertise but always willing to consider other opinions.
• An advocate for people.
Qualifications
• Essential: CIPD level 5.
• Desirable: HR degree or equivalent management qualification at Level 6 or above.
Knowledge and Understanding
• Sector experience working in people-facing roles within a Health and Social Care environment.
Other Requirements
• Driving license, flexible to the needs of the business.
• This is a hybrid role requiring regular presence in the office and service locations
