Job Description
Some responsibilities of this role are:
· Lead HR systems and processes across recruitment, feedback and appraisals, learning and development, remuneration structures, talent retention that will enable our teams to do great work
· Build & execute best industry practices in people management, which are relevant and meaningful for a creative organization like Quicksand
· Onboard new employees into the studio culture and the way we work and continuously engage with team members on their own growth within the studio
· Be the point of contact for all people-oriented policies and review them periodically for modifications that may be required
· Work closely with the finance and senior leadership teams to guide staffing needs on projects, with a thorough understanding of the business implications of hiring, staffing & resourcing.
· Be a custodian of HR policies and maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
· Facilitate formal and informal communication and team-building across the studio locations
Qualifications
Successful candidates will have relevant experience in strategic and tactical aspects of HR as a function in a creative organization. Quicksand has built a unique, autonomous and creative practice over 18+ years and is charting new paths of growth.
Some specific qualifications you would need to have are:
· 5+ years of work experience in managing human resources function directly, either in a leading or a supporting role
· Experience with a design or creative consulting company or in a creative environment with rapidly changing needs
· Experience with setting up and working with employee-centered HRIS systems
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, as well as time management and organizational skills
· Ability to think critically and have exceptional attention to detail, while also being able to collaborate with a variety of workstyles and professional backgrounds and value diverse opinions
· Understanding of creative workflows and skill-sets
· Ability to identify people-related issues, prioritize needs and proactively find creative solutions
