Job Description
A well-established senior living community is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support a large, front-line workforce in a fast-paced, service-driven environment. This role serves as the primary on-site human resources professional and works closely with department leaders to support day-to-day HR and business office functions.
Key areas of responsibility include payroll, recruiting coordination, onboarding, orientation, employee relations, workers' compensation, personnel records, policy compliance, and other administrative support. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on HR professional who thrives in a collaborative setting and enjoys supporting both employees and operational leaders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Serve as a resource to managers and front-line employees regarding employee relations matters and interpretation of policies and procedures
• Manage the pre-hire process, including applicant tracking, interviewing coordination, onboarding, and orientation in partnership with hiring managers and recruitment support
• Maintain personnel records and ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable standards
• Oversee training records within the electronic learning management system
• Supervise the Concierge team to help ensure a high standard of customer service
• Assist the Executive Director with business office and administrative functions
• Partner with community leadership, regional teams, and corporate support departments
• Conduct interviewing and hiring, evaluate employee performance, provide coaching and training, and delegate assignments for direct reports
QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum of 3 years of Human Resources and/or Business Office experience in a comparable environment, with prior supervisory experience
• College degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred
• Strong technology skills and experience using workplace systems and software
• Excellent organizational, communication, and critical thinking abilities
• Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
• Flexibility to work within a 24-hour operation, including weekends as needed
• Reliable and consistent attendance required
