Key Responsibilities
Payroll & Compensation Support
• Process and verify payroll data, including hours worked, deductions, adjustments, and PTO accrualsto ensure accurate and timely employee pay.
• Administer wage garnishments and mandated deductions in compliance with court and agencyorders.
• Process employee status changes such as promotions, transfers, compensation updates, andterminations.
• Audit payroll-related invoices and verify accuracy prior to payment submission.
Benefits Administration
• Serve as the first point of contact for benefits-related inquiries, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and 401(k) plans.
• Coordinate annual open enrollment process and employee benefits education initiatives.
• Process benefits invoices and coordinate with brokers, providers, and the Accounting department and resolve discrepancies to ensure accurate and timely processing.
• Ensure employees fully understand and maximize their benefits by providing clear guidance, timely communication, and proactive issue resolution, and contributing to improved employee satisfaction.
Compliance & Reporting
• Maintain accurate and compliant employee personnel records in accordance with company policy and federal/state regulations.
• Assist with preparation and submission of annual compliance reports, including EEO-1, California Pay Data Reporting, and other required filings.
• Coordinate unemployment claims, prepare documentation for appeals, and collaborate with witnesses for hearings as needed.
• Complete employment verification requests in accordance with legal requirements.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and state/federal workplace safety regulations.
• Support workers’ compensation claim processing in partnership with the Loss Prevention team.
Employee Records & HR Administration
• Maintain up-to-date personnel files, including onboarding documentation, policy acknowledgments performance review files, and disciplinary actions.
• Manage and distribute HR-related documents and correspondence.
• Serve as the first point of contact for routine HR inquiries, providing policy clarification and
• procedural guidance.
• Guide employees in understanding company policies and workplace procedures.HR Operations & Support
• Develop and analyze HR reports and datasets to support operational insights and workforce tracking.
• Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend solutions to improve productivity.
• Plan and coordinate company meetings, training sessions, and HR-related events.
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
