Job Description
- Execute all aspects of the sales function, including order processing, purchase orders, payment processing, quotes, and delivery dates. Ensure the accuracy of entered information to guarantee that the correct items are ordered.
- Support branch sales, including new business initiatives, by actively communicating with dealers about new product launches, services, supplies, pricing, and any discounts via outbound calls and in-person discussions. Conduct follow-up calls for existing and lost customer accounts.
- Maintain sales programs within the assigned territory by keeping customers informed about available services, supplies, pricing, and new products.
- Provide excellent customer service, including information on products, orders, sales, warranties, and returns.
- Recommend alternative products based on cost, availability, or specifications as needed.
- Obtain and monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as necessary. Coordinate with manufacturing, sales, distribution, and vendors regarding shipments.
- Generate new and repeat sales by promptly providing product and technical information. Educate customers on product terminology, features, and benefits to improve sales and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Provide accurate information regarding the availability of in-stock items and conduct cycle counts as required.
- Collaborate with the manager to determine the best methods for resolving issues, ensuring customer satisfaction while adhering to the organization’s policies. Coordinate problem resolution with relevant departments.
- Maintain records and prepare reports on sales activities.
- Periodically reach out to customers to assess their satisfaction with the organization, products, and services.
- Monitor competitive activity and industry trends.
- Expand knowledge of HVAC products and stay current with the latest industry trends.
- Work collaboratively with all levels of management and peers to ensure effective team delivery of high-quality service.
- Understand and follow work instructions, operational procedures, and company policies.
- Assist in the warehouse as needed, including inventory counts and product movement, while operating a forklift when required.
- Perform additional projects as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Preferred knowledge of HVAC equipment and products.
- General proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and a working knowledge of database applications.
- Strong customer service and relationship management skills via walk-ins, phone, and email.
- Positive and professional attitude; capable of handling demanding customers and diffusing hostile situations.
- Ability to develop rapport and practice effective listening skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills; able to explain technical parts information clearly and accurately input orders.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, including prioritization and multitasking.
- High level of attention to detail, accuracy, and compliance orientation.
- Ability to build positive working relationships with internal and external customers and employees.
- Capable of applying sound judgment, a strong work ethic, integrity, and results-driven focus on the job.
- Ability to assist in the warehouse and operate a forklift safely and efficiently as needed.

Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
