We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HYBRID Accountant to join our leading entertainment organization. This role will involve both traditional accounting responsibilities and the application of such principles in the industry. As a HYBRID Accountant, you will be tasked with maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and contributing to high-level financial decisions. You will play a pivotal role in our financial operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned accountant with a passion for the engineering industry, looking to apply their skills in a challenging and rewarding environment.
Responsibilities
• Overseeing and managing the general ledger.
• Recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions with a high level of accuracy.
• Performing regular financial analysis, identifying trends, and advising on forecasts.
• Ensuring compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
• Preparing accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Assisting in budget preparation and financial planning processes.
• Using accounting software to maintain records and prepare reports.
• Collaborating with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.
• Developing and implementing accounting policies, coordinating systems and procedures, and preparing operating data and special reports as required.
• Analyzing and interpreting statistical and accounting information to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and industry benchmarks.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting REQUIRED
• 2+ years of experience in a similar role
• Proficiency with accounting software and experience with a software system like JD Edwards, Oracle.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel.
• Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices (GAAP).
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and tasks efficiently.
