Our growing client has an immediate need for a Senior Accountant. Manufacturing and or Public Audit experience a plus.
Duties:
• Maintain accounting, tax, and corporate files
• Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and alert accounting management if necessary
• Manage timely reporting and remittance of all sales tax, use tax, and other tax reporting requirements
• Train staff for proper coding and use of chart of accounts
• Assist with reconciling accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
• Support month-end and year-end close process
• Assist with production of the annual budget and forecasts and operating metrics
• Provide information to external auditors for the annual audit
• Cross-train in assistant controller/ controller functions
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• Minimum two years of experience with accounting functions, including but not limited to: year-end and month-end closing, audits, sales tax, etc
• CPA experience a plus
• Cost accounting experience a plus
• Experience with general ledger functions and month-end and year end close process
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Word)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Good organizational, oral, and written communication skills
Our client offers a competitive salary plus benefits and a HYBRID work schedule with three days remote and two in the office.
