Role Description – Accountant – US Accounting
This is a full-time role for an Accountant – US Accounting at R A V S & Associates | Chartered Accountants.
The candidate will be responsible for day-to-day accounting tasks including:
• U.S. financial reporting
• Tax preparation (Federal & State)
• Month-end and year-end closing
• General ledger review and reconciliations
• Ensuring compliance with US GAAP and IRS guidelines
Note:
This role will be work from office (mandatory) for the initial 6–+ months. Based on performance and compatibility, remote working may be allowed thereafter.
The candidate must be willing to work in U.S. shift hours. We are open to split shifts combining partial Indian and partial U.S. timings, as long as client deadlines are met.
Qualifications
• 1–3 years of mandatory experience in U.S. accounting
• Solid understanding of US GAAP and U.S. tax regulations
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting platforms
• Experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, and tax filings
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA or EA certification is a plus
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage U.S.-based client requirements
