Responsibilities
This position focuses on preparing high-quality legal briefs and filings for EOIR and federal circuit courts, including cases that involve FOIA requests
As The Associate Attorney, you will report to the Managing Immigration Attorney, you will also manage your caseload, as well as client interaction, and can collaborate with our wonderful Immigration Team of Attorneys and legal assistants
Draft memorandums, appeals, and other legal documents for immigration-related appellate work, ensuring thorough legal analysis and attention to detail
Prepare and file appeals before EOIR, the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA), and federal circuit courts
Draft and submit motions to reopen in complex immigration cases, particularly those requiring nuanced legal arguments
Handle cases involving FOIA requests, effectively analyzing documents to inform legal strategies and appeals
Collaborate with the legal team to develop strong case arguments for clients facing removal or seeking relief
Stay current on developments in immigration law, especially those relevant to appellate and federal cases
Maintain organized case files and documentation, ensuring compliance with court and firm standards

The ideal candidate will have at least four years of experience in immigration law, including drafting memorandums, appeals, and motions to reopen. This position focuses on preparing high-quality legal briefs and filings for EOIR and federal circuit courts, including cases that involve FOIA requests.
