Key Responsibility:
Legal Advisory:
-Provide expert legal advice and support on matters related to service rules and higher education regulations.
-Analyses and interprets legal documents, contracts, and policies to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
Drafting and Review:
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and policies.
-Ensure legal documentation is clear, concise, and aligned with the university's goals and policies.
Compliance Management:
-Monitor changes in laws and regulations affecting higher education institutions and ensure the university's compliance.
-Develop and implement compliance programs to mitigate legal risks.
Dispute Resolution:
-Handle and resolve legal disputes, claims and litigation matters efficiently.
-Collaborate with external legal counsel when necessary.
Educational Business Matters:
-Provide legal support for business matters related to education, including collaborations, partnerships, and commercial transactions.
Communication and Training:
-Communicate legal advice and information clearly to stakeholders.
-Conduct legal training sessions for university staff to enhance legal awareness.
Contract Management:Develop and implement a robust contract management system to streamline processes and ensure compliance.
Qualifications and Experience:
-LLB/LLM degree from a recognized institution.
-2-5years of relevant experience in legal matters related to service rules and/or higher education institutions.
-Proven track record of handling legal issues within the education sector.
-Strong understanding of higher education laws and regulations.
-Excellent drafting and communication skills.
