Job Summary: The primary purpose of this role is to automate processes for the Point-of-Sale Indirect Tax Team, with the opportunity to support the broader Indirect Tax Team as needed. Using Alteryx, SQL, Python, Vertex (AI), LLM, and PySpark to build artificial intelligence through machine learning. Key responsibilities include: Design and implement ML models using Python to automate and enhance the accuracy of item classification processes Create sophisticated, forward-looking Alteryx solutions to streamline processes and support strategic business objectives Leveraging advanced data lake capabilities to drive data-driven decisions and optimize processes Proactively supporting team initiatives, embracing new challenges, and contributing to the success of projects Mentor and support team development, providing technical guidance in Python, PySpark, and SQL to elevate team capability and performance. Roles & Responsibilities: Core Responsibilities: Support Automation of Item Taxability Assignment: Collaborate with the item assignment team to automate and streamline the item taxability process. Communicate effectively within the Tax Business Team, IT Tax Team, and across other functions. Data Analysis and Issue Resolution: Work with applications to manage large datasets, utilizing tools such as Alteryx, SQL, Python, Vertex (AI), LLM, and PySpark to analyze and resolve issues efficiently. Automate Job Procedures: Perform process analysis to identify opportunities for automation, enhancing overall workflow efficiency. Develop Sophisticated Alteryx Workflows: Build and optimize Alteryx workflows as required to meet business needs. In-Office Availability: Available for in-office work from 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM IST. REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree in Technology or related field; and 3-5 years of experience in Alteryx workflow development, Python, and LLM experience Advanced experience with Alteryx, Python, Machine Learning, Large Language Models, and SQL 2-4 years experience with process automation Advanced skills in MS office programs (Excel, Word, Access) Skill Set Required Advanced experience with Alteryx, Python, Machine Learning, Large Language Models, and SQL Balances practical problem-solving with long-term vision. Makes data-driven decisions that align short-term actions with scalable, high-impact outcomes Ability to Think independently Work well autonomously and in a team setting Be open to learning new technologies and adapting to rapidly changing tech environments Balance multiple projects, deadlines, and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment Understand and manage emotions to foster strong team dynamics Bounce back from setbacks and maintain productivity under pressure Effectively communicating technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Apply innovative thinking to design, develop, and improve products or solutions.
