Job Description
• Key Responsibilities:
1. Interpreting Drawings and Specifications:
Examining blueprints, technical drawings, and sketches to understand the model's design and dimensions.
2. Material Selection and Preparation:
Choosing appropriate materials (wood, plastics, etc.) and preparing them for fabrication, including cutting, shaping, and smoothing.
3. Using Tools and Equipment:
Operating a variety of hand and power tools (saws, planers, sanders, etc.) to cut, shape, and assemble model components.
4. Assembly and Finishing:
Joining parts using fasteners, adhesives, or other methods, and ensuring a smooth, accurate finish to the model.
5. Quality Control:
Inspecting the completed model for accuracy, functionality, and adherence to specifications, making necessary adjustments.
6. Construction & Installation:
Building frameworks, installing doors, windows, cabinets, and other wooden fixtures, and assembling structures using hand and power tools.
7. Repair & Maintenance:
Identifying and repairing damaged or defective wooden elements, including furniture, fixtures, and structural components.
8. Blueprint Interpretation:
Reading and understanding technical drawings, blueprints, and building plans to accurately execute projects.
9. Tool & Equipment Management:
Maintaining tools and equipment in safe and operable condition, ensuring proper functioning and safety.
10. Safety Compliance:
Adhering to established safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
11. Collaboration:
Working with other team members to ensure timely project completion and efficient workflow.
• Skills & Qualifications:
Carpentry Expertise: Proven experience in woodworking techniques, including cutting, shaping, and assembling materials.
Blueprint Reading: Ability to interpret technical drawings and building plans.
Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with a wide range of hand and power tools, including saws, drills, and measuring instruments.
Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and carrying materials.
Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues related to materials, tools, or construction processes.
Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks.
Safety Awareness: Understanding and adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with other team members.
