Salary Range: Up to $124,602. Package includes salary ($99,938 - $110,27, employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

The Role
The Information & Administrative Officer (IAO) provides a range of timely, expert and professional executive level administrative, secretarial and day-to-day operational support services to the Legal Counsel and the Legal Branch to facilitate the delivery of business operations and to support the NSW Ombudsman’s achievement of organisational objectives. The IAO also provides a range of administrative support services, undertake projects, research, and project management related activities. This role also involves assisting in the creation and maintenance of documents and processes undertaken by Ombudsman legal officers.

About you
You have demonstrated experience in performing Secretarial duties, including diary management, scheduling meetings, assisting with preparation of papers, attending meetings and taking minutes.
You’re a skilled communicator, including the ability to communicate effectively with our diverse stakeholders & prepare correspondence.
You are confident in using Office technology and in learning to use new technology in the performance of administrative tasks.
You have experience supporting the work undertaken by legal officers or are keen to learn about and assist with those tasks. This includes preparing forms and other papers for tribunal proceedings, handling matters relating to the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009, Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998, and assisting with legal and regulatory matters.
You have excellent organisation skills and are able to assist with document management and the maintenance of collections of advices, templates, policies and procedures.
You have demonstrated experience dealing with sensitive or complex issues, which may involve balancing competing interests and brokering acceptable solutions to problems, consistent with office policies or priorities.
You are flexible and experienced at working in an environment with fast changing, time-constrained tasking
You have demonstrated experience in analysing, assessing and prioritising requests for executive support and initiating action to facilitate the optimal use of the executive’s time while exercising discretion and maintaining confidentiality at all times.
