IT Project Manager
3 days onsite in Downtown Houston
Contract
• No C2C or Associate Vendors*
Project Details
• Serve as the connector and driver, ensuring AI/BI projects (built in Palantir Foundry) are clearly defined, efficiently managed, and successfully delivered to the business.
• Balance speed of proofs of concept (POCs) with the rigor of formal project governance.
• Projects range from short-term (weeks) POCs to longer-term (months–years) AI/analytics rollouts.
• All initiatives are high visibility across the organization.
Top 3 Technologies
• MS Projects – Project planning, scheduling, and deliverable tracking.
• Microsoft Office Suite (Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Word) – Process diagrams, requirements documentation, analysis artifacts, and executive communication.
• Agile & Waterfall Methodologies – Ability to flex based on project needs.
Top 3 Experience Requirements
• 5+ years of technical project management with:
• Custom development and COTS (commercial off-the-shelf) implementations.
• Standard project management tools and techniques.
• Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Strong ability to communicate clearly and concisely with stakeholders and executive leadership.
• Proven track record of being detail-oriented, confident, and fully in command of project scope and status.
Nice-to-Haves
• Experience with Palantir Foundry.
• Exposure to or experience with DevOps practices and tools.
• Project management certifications (PMP, ScrumMaster, etc.).
Daily Duties
• Project Delivery:
• Lead fast-paced POCs to test AI/BI use cases.
• Manage full lifecycle of IT development and analytics/AI projects.
• Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery aligned with Kinder Morgan’s PM methodology.
• Stakeholder Collaboration:
• Partner with business functional groups to capture needs.
• Gather and translate business requirements into functional documentation.
• Facilitate workshops with business and IT stakeholders.
• Documentation & Analysis:
• Capture current-state and future-state business processes.
• Document requirements, technical capabilities, and project deliverables.
• Produce project artifacts (process diagrams, BRDs, project plans, etc.).
• Coordination:
• Act as liaison between business, IT, and vendors.
• Support technical leads by documenting high-level system designs.
• Maintain project plans in MS Project Online.
