Job Description

Would you like to be part of a team focused on delighting customers of all sizes, across a number of industries? Do you have the sales acumen and technical aptitude to drive adoption of cloud services? Amazon Web Services provides companies of all sizes with an infrastructure platform in the cloud. We are growing our Sales team to help more companies make the move to AWS, and achieve their business outcomes. If you are passionate about the cloud and have the skills, the ISR role provides the opportunity to introduce the most relevant cloud solutions from the leading cloud company, to new and existing customers.

This role will sit in our new headquarters in Northern Virginia, where Amazon will invest $2.5 billion dollars, occupy 4 million square feet of energy efficient office space, and create at least 25,000 new full-time jobs. Our employees and the neighboring community will also benefit from the associated investments from the Commonwealth including infrastructure updates, public transportation improvements, and new access to Reagan National Airport. By working together on behalf of our customers, we are building the future one innovative product, service, and idea at a time. Are you ready to embrace the challenge? Come build the future with us.

Amazon is seeking an Insights and Analytics Specialist to support measurement, reporting, and data analysis across Amazon's internal communications channels. In this role, you will execute analytics projects, build dashboards, and provide data support to communications leaders, channel owners, editors, and event managers. You will work closely with the Insights and Analytics Manager to translate data into actionable insights that improve content performance and audience engagement.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical analytics skills with clear communication abilities. You are detail-oriented, curious about audience behavior, and passionate about using data to solve problems. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple projects simultaneously, and work backwards from stakeholder needs. You have hands-on experience with data visualization tools, Excel, SQL, and AI-assisted and agentic AI development tools (e.g., Kiro, Cursor, Claude Code) and can translate complex data into clear, digestible insights for non-technical audiences.

Key job responsibilities

• Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and analyses that demonstrate the impact of internal communications across channels
• Execute weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting on communications performance metrics and audience insights
• Support ad-hoc analytics requests from channel leads, editorial teams, and stakeholders
• Monitor channel performance and flag trends, anomalies, or opportunities to the Insights and Analytics Manager

Data Support & Enablement
• Partner with channel and editorial leads to help them understand their audience data and performance metrics
• Support A/B testing and experimentation efforts by setting up tests, tracking results, and analyzing outcomes
• Educate communications team members on how to use self-service analytics tools and interpret their data
• Create documentation and training materials for data tools and reporting processes

Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work with Product and Tech teams to improve data quality, tagging, and tracking capabilities
• Collaborate with channel and editorial leads to define metrics that accurately measure content impact
• Partner with internal research teams to incorporate audience insights into reporting
• Support the Insights and Analytics Manager on strategic projects and deep-dive analyses

Continuous Improvement
• Identify opportunities to automate reporting and improve data workflows
• Stay current on digital analytics trends and best practices
• Recommend improvements to measurement frameworks and data collection methods
• Contribute to the team's analytics roadmap and capability-building efforts

A day in the life
You start your morning monitoring channel metrics, flagging engagement patterns to your manager. Mid-morning, you're training the editorial team on their new dashboard, explaining audience trends and how to filter by employee segments.
After lunch, you set up an A/B test for an email campaign and troubleshoot data tagging issues with the Product team. The afternoon is dedicated to pulling SQL queries, updating automated dashboards, tuning up AI agents, and drafting your weekly performance summary with key insights.
You wrap up by documenting self-service analytics tools for channel owners and reviewing the quarterly roadmap, identifying reports to automate and proposing new impact metrics.
