The Opportunity
Leavitt Industrial Group is looking for a motivated Instructional Designer Specialist to join our team in Coquitlam, British Columbia on a 6 Month Contract. As the Instructional Designer Specialist, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of high quality, cohesive, blended learning solutions that enable employee onboarding in alignment with organizational goals.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
As the Instructional Designer Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:
Design and develop high-quality, engaging learning solutions across digital and instructor-led formats.
Ensure solutions have clear learning objectives and are delivered using effective, modern learning methodologies grounded in adult learning.
Ensure high standards across all learning content enabling integrated, learner-centered experiences.
Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across the business to ensure solutions are cohesive, relevant, engaging, and impactful.
Support go-live phases, gathering/applying feedback for continuous improvement.
Maintain project delivery in alignment with project timelines.
Contribute to regular project meetings, providing updates on progress, risks, and outcomes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:
Post-secondary degree (Adult Learning, organizational development or organizational psychology preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of learning and development experience with a minimum 2 years of experience in courseware development.
Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design models, and learning technology trends and eLearning design principles.
Track record of designing and implementing successful learning programs, including creating online and in-person experiences.
Experience with content creation including development of e-learning modules in Articulate 360 among other multimedia tools.
Highly organized, self-starter with good time management skills.
Able to receive, discuss and strategically apply feedback.
Strong interpersonal skills and highly effective at developing positive working relationships.
Experience in facilitation and learning management systems are an asset.

The base pay range for this role is: $75,000 to $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
This is a hybrid role based in Coquitlam, British Columbia.
