Our Faculty Vision Statement articulates our commitment to cultural diversity. We strive to create a learning environment where all learning community members feel that their differences are valued and respected, have equitable access to opportunities, and are supported to achieve their full potential. Guided by Elders-in-Residence, the First Peoples Principles of Learning and the BC Curriculum we strive to incorporate Indigenous knowledge and ways of knowing into foundational and methodological course work. Our pre-service teachers participate in schools located on the traditional territories of the Coast Salish peoples and we are working to develop strong relationships with the communities we serve.
