Job Summary
The Chris Knott team, part of the Jensten Group, is seeking a skilled Account Handler to join their Commercial team in Hastings. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone with insurance experience to develop their career as a Commercial Account Handler within a successful Broker.
The role involves providing specialist scheme insurance, including Charity, Canine, and Allotment Insurance, to clients. Initially, the position will be full-time in the office, with a flexible blend of office and home working available upon completion of probation.
Key Objectives & Responsibilities:
Respond promptly to client enquiries on a daily basis, managing expectations effectively
Provide administration support in obtaining new business quotations and arranging cover, ensuring accurate policy documentation
Process mid-term adjustments and refer technical queries to relevant colleagues
Negotiate and invite renewal of allocated client policies
Maintain accurate client records, reflecting current risk information
Achieve cross sell/up-sell opportunities on policies
Liaise with Claims department regarding claims queries/reports
Create invoices and credit notes in accordance with the Broking Manual
About You
To succeed as a Commercial Account Handler, you must possess previous insurance knowledge and excellent Client Servicing skills. Strong diary management skills, effective planning, and ability to work under deadlines are essential. Teamwork is vital, as you will collaborate closely with Executives, Account Handlers, and Claims Handlers to service a range of policies.
Required Skills/Requirements:
Strong customer service skills gained within an insurance setting
CII Qualifications or desire to pursue these (not essential)
Experience using Acturis (advantageous)
