About the Role
Ariat International is seeking a skilled Intellectual Property Counsel to support our dynamic legal team. As a key member of our lean legal department, you will have wide-ranging responsibilities, with ownership of projects that drive business growth. Under the supervision of the Senior Director of Legal, your work will impact every aspect of running our global retail brand.
The ideal candidate will be extremely organized, proactive, and customer-focused, with a desire to learn and grow. You will collaborate well with team members and cross-functional business partners, leveraging your experience in working directly with outside counsel.
We follow a hybrid work model, with 3 days per week at our San Leandro office and 2 days per week from home.
You'll Make a Difference By
Working closely with our product design teams to provide counseling and guidance on launching new products, including trademark and patent applications.
Maintaining our patent, trademark, and copyright portfolio, conducting clearance searches, advising on strategic growth areas, and implementing new IP-related initiatives.
Managing brand enforcement efforts against counterfeit products and collaborating on online brand protection strategies.
Developing and implementing new IP-related processes, policies, and training based on industry standards and best practices.
Advising on intellectual property matters related to commercial transactions or active litigation.
Collaborating with other team members to manage special projects and tasks supporting the company's goals.
