WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR?
Intern, People & Culture
Reporting to the Sr. HR Generalist, this position is responsible for supporting recruitment, Onboarding, HRIS data management and providing administrative assistance to all members of the team. This role is a vacant seasonal position.
Provide support on a variety of ongoing or new HR projects and initiatives - may include the development of company job description creation/updates, policies and procedures development, and outlining company benefits within the orientation procedure for New Hires
Assist Recruiter and Sr. HR Generalist with the recruitment process - screen resumes and application forms, schedule interviews and conduct reference checks for final candidates
Perform administrative tasks such as employee filing, updating Human Resources bulletin boards and organizing online people & Culture SharePoint structure
Work in close association with Payroll on administration of new hires, processing of terminations & timesheet approvals
Maintaining and organizing electronic and physical documents, files, and records.
Participate in and support company Wellness initiatives, including active involvement in the Recharge Program.
Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
WHO YOU ARE?
Must be currently enrolled in a Human Resources Management or a related post-secondary program
Preferred previous experience working within a HR department, preferably within the Sports industry
Preferred working towards CHRP designation
Bilingualism (French/English) is considered an asset
WORKING CONDITIONS
4-month fixed term contract from May to August 2026
Hybrid remote office schedule
Hours of work are Monday-Friday 9am-5pm with some evenings & weekend leading up to and during the National Bank Open presented by Rogers
Reporting location is Sobeys Stadium at 1 Shoreham Drive, North York, ON
