Our Internal Audit Team

Joining our Internal Audit team means being part of a dynamic part of the business that is constantly evolving to meet the changing needs of our clients. We are actively managing a varied portfolio of internal audits for a wide range of prestigious public sector, commercial, and charity clients, based throughout Scotland.

As an Internal Audit Senior at Henderson Loggie, your responsibilities will include:

Plan and lead end-to-end internal audits, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and best practices.
Asses key risks and controls to establish a focused audit approach.
Conduct detailed testing of controls, identifying weaknesses and providing recommendations for improvement.
Ensure audits are delivered on time and within budget, proactively managing any challenges or risks.
Prepare clear and well-structured audit reports, summarising findings and presenting practical recommendations to clients.
Engage with clients throughout the audit process, maintaining strong communication and addressing any concerns or queries.
Review and quality-check own work, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal audit standards.
Act as a first point of contact for trainees assisting with technical queries and problem-solving.

We are seeking an Internal Audit professional with a strong track record in the field. A recognised qualification (CA, CIA or equivalent) is preferred; however, part-qualified candidates with relevant experience will also be considered.

Proven internal audit experience
A background in coaching and mentoring junior team members
Excellent technical knowledge and client-facing skills
Strong written and verbal communication abilities
A collaborative approach and effective teamworking skills
Exceptional organisational capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality
