What You'll Do:
Learn and Grow: Gain valuable experience in international logistics, delving into one of the most historic and important industries globally.
Network Building: Collaborate with a world-class network of service providers, overseeing shipments of large assets.
Project Management: Take on individual projects, building strong relationships with clients and vendors.
Coordinate Operations: Manage all aspects of logistics operations, from ground and ocean transportation to documentation.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal regulations governing international transportation and logistics.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of shipment documentation, costs, and other relevant data.
Issue Resolution: Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and customers to resolve any issues or delays in the logistics process.
Qualifications:
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Adaptability: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Education: B.A. from College or equivalent education is a plus.
Industry Familiarity: Familiarity with freight forwarding or international logistics is a plus.
Experience: Industry or related experience in logistics or transportation is a plus.
Language Skills: Ability to speak other languages is a plus.
Geographical Knowledge: Familiarity and general knowledge of global geography is a plus.
