Job Summary:
The International Sales Executive plays a pivotal role in acquiring new business and expanding UPS's international services. This position involves strategic prospecting, relationship building, and presenting tailored solutions to prospective clients. Collaborate effectively with Business Development, Customer Success, and other internal teams to formulate account strategies and analyze market dynamics, positioning UPS as a frontrunner in the logistics sector.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prospecting and Lead Generation:
• Identify potential clients through advanced research and innovative channels.
• Engage in proactive lead generation via cold calling, networking, and outreach strategies.
• Partner with marketing initiatives to maximize inbound leads.
• Sales Strategy and Planning:
• Craft and implement strategic sales plans to surpass sales targets.
• Leverage existing UPS account histories to prioritize business opportunities.
• Conduct thorough market research to identify new opportunities and evaluate customer needs.
• Document account strategies and assess key performance indicators for goal-setting.
• Value Analysis and Presentation:
• Create impactful presentations that highlight UPS’s unique offerings and value propositions.
• Articulate product features and benefits, tailoring messaging to client specifications.
• Ensure accurate pricing and presentation of solutions.
• Negotiation and Closing:
• Facilitate negotiations with clients to finalize business agreements.
• Manage all necessary contract documentation for compliance (e.g., Power of Attorney, USMCA).
• Close deals efficiently while exceeding customer expectations.
• Collaboration and Support:
• Engage with cross-functional teams to ensure flawless execution of client objectives.
• Address internal queries regarding international processes and compliance requirements.
• Compliance and Market Research:
• Support customs compliance by working closely with brokerage partners.
• Monitor shipping activities for proactive issue resolution.
• Conduct site visits to customer warehouses and distribution centers for deeper insights into their logistics needs.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
• Demonstrated success in B2B sales and new business acquisition.
• In-depth knowledge of logistics and international shipping processes.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
• Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset.
• Self-motivated, results-driven, and adaptable to fast-paced environments.
• Willingness to travel as necessary.
• Must reside in the same geographic area as the position or be willing to relocate (no relocation assistance provided).
