Company: The O'Donnell Group
Location: Miami, Florida (Remote)
Department: Investor Relations & Business Development
Reports To: Director of Investor Relations
Employment Type: Full-Time
About The O'Donnell Group
The O'Donnell Group is a well-established industrial real estate investment firm with 54+ years of experience acquiring, developing, and managing high-quality distribution and industrial properties. We deliver strong risk-adjusted returns to our investors through disciplined value-add strategies and are actively raising capital for the O'Donnell Industrial Fund LLC.
Position Overview
We are looking for a motivated, organized, and communicative Investor Relations Business Development Representative (SDR) to join our growing capital-raising team. This is a junior-to-mid level role ideal for someone early in their sales or finance career who wants to build experience in investor outreach, relationship development, and private equity / real estate fundraising.
You will focus on prospecting, qualifying, and engaging high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and institutional investors. This is a high-activity role where success is measured by the volume and quality of qualified investor conversations and meetings you set for senior team members.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct targeted research to identify and build lists of prospective investors (high-net-worth individuals, family offices, RIAs, wealth advisors, etc.).
• Execute outbound outreach campaigns via phone, email, and LinkedIn to introduce The O'Donnell Group and our industrial real estate investment opportunities.
• Qualify leads by understanding investor interests, investment criteria, and capacity.
• Schedule introductory calls and meetings between prospects and senior Investor Relations / Business Development team members.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records in our CRM system (Salesforce or similar).
• Assist with preparing investor materials, pitch decks, and due diligence packages.
• Help organize investor events, property tours, webinars, and quarterly updates.
• Track outreach metrics and pipeline activity; report weekly on activity and results.
• Stay informed on industrial real estate market trends and competitive landscape.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Experience: 0–3 years in sales development, cold calling, business development, or investor relations. Recent graduates with strong internships or relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Communications, Real Estate, or related field preferred.
• Skills:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High energy, resilience, and comfort with outbound prospecting and cold outreach.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and CRM tools (experience is a plus).
• Basic understanding of private investments, real estate, or capital raising is helpful but not required — we will train the right candidate.
• Personal Attributes: Self-starter, coachable, goal-oriented, and professional. You thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and are excited to learn about real estate investing.
• Travel: Limited travel for events or occasional investor meetings may be required.
What We Offer
• Competitive base salary + performance-based commission/bonus tied to qualified meetings and capital raised.
• Hands-on training and mentorship from experienced real estate and fundraising professionals.
• Clear career path into full Investor Relations, Business Development, or Acquisitions roles.
• Opportunity to directly contribute to the growth of a respected 50+ year-old investment firm.
The O'Donnell Group is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
