RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategy, Business Initiative, Portfolio Engagement
Develop program strategy in meeting business goals and priorities
End-to-End ownership and accountability of clinical programs for strategic outcomes and business values
Cross-Project coordination, dependency management, and strategic alignment
Aligns and Adapt initiatives to business goals and stakeholder priorities
Outcome-driven, focusing on strategic results and delivering business value, rather than project implementation alone
Bridges strategy and execution across initiatives to maximize efficiency and chance of achieving business goals
Partner with Portfolio Owner from ideation to implementation (business initiatives, values, business case, KPI definition & Collection, financial, implementation, KPI Collections)
Team & Project Management
Direct (generate new thinking vs following instruction alone) and make decisions to guide team through challenges and unchartered areas
Charter new areas and responsibilities as the organization evolves to meet business goals
Provide direction and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Supervise Delivery Managers of service lines
Capacity planning of demands and incoming projects to ensure programs are aligned with company strategy, resource constraints, and operational priorities
Delivery Manager assignment, prioritization, and recruitment of FTE/contractor
Oversee project health throughout project life cycle. Get involved and be hands-on as required to ensure project success
Provide support and coaching to other Delivery Leaders, Delivery Managers, and Delivery Specialists
Owns, applies, and upholds Enterprise PMO governance and procedures to ensure adherence for success
Serves as a point of project escalation. Pro-actively works across groups to mitigate risk and resolve issues
Drives a behavior of transparency, urgency, results, and escalation as appropriate
Review of work and deliveries of assigned Delivery Managers
End to End project implementation ownership and accountability (Planning, Resource, Risk, Issue, Escalation, Financial, Execution, Delivery, Communication, Phase Gate, Deliverables/Artifacts, KPI collections)
Cross Functional
Pro-actively develop and drive program delivery improvement
End to End shared ownership of IT services from business initiatives, project implementation, financials, to operational sustainment (like reporting out of operational work)
Stays abreast of other initiatives and operational work within the enterprise to develop a big-picture view
Champion PMO improvement. Be the change agent in ideation, alignment, implementation, and adoption
Be cross functional and able to lead outside of assigned scope of work.
Partnership with Portfolio leaders, Business Analysts, CDLs, Finance, and other IS Towers to form strong partnership in solving enterprise problems and delivering solutions that meet our business needs
Works collaboratively with business and technical stakeholders, regardless of reporting structure
REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge and Experience
2-5 years of strategic program management experience
8-10 years of hands-on large scale and complex project implementation experience focused on clinical solutions used to deliver care to patients
Demonstrated knowledge of clinical workflows and healthcare operations, coupled with program/project management experience.
Expertise in EHR systems is a must
Awareness of state and federal healthcare regulatory requirements that may impact program delivery
Critical thinking is a must. Discipline in analyzing information, questioning assumptions, and evaluating arguments to form well-reasoned judgments and solve problems effectively without relying on status-quo or others' direction
Expertise in program management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, hybrid)
Highly skilled at planning, organizing, time/task/resource/risk management
Strong financial acumen; develop business cases and model financial impact of large programs to help educate the organization on decision making
Ability to establish, review and adjust metrics to accurately E progress
Bachelors degree
Soft Skills
Self-Initiated in owning problem and developing solution without solely relying on other parties
Strong executive communication skills and C-Level interaction
Comfortable with ambiguity and has ability to get work done without always having complete information or well-defined structure
Ability to matrix manage across a wide range of technical, business and executive team members with or without direct authority
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable strategies
Build and maintain relationships across business units
