The Role
The placement role within the Network and Security Services Department will provide the candidate the opportunity to work across the range of networking services provided to the University. This includes switching and routing, voice over IP, firewalls, and wireless technologies.
The candidate will have the opportunity to be involved in project work including infrastructure upgrades and will be expected to support day-to-day operational activities such as fixing faults and fulfilling service requests.
To provide an opportunity to gain experience of work within LIS under close guidance from a relevant Supervisor. Dependent upon the life cycles of various projects you will have an opportunity to gain experience, develop skills and gain understanding of various LIS projects working within an enterprise environment.
