Job description, work day and responsibilities
As a Development Specialist you must have:Hands-on expertise RPG400/IV, RPG Free, CL, SQL, Embedded SQL, Query & ILERecent and advanced experience with RPG (ILE/FREE) using Procedures, Service Programs, and FunctionsHands-on experience of Application Design & Development in BFSI/Banking domain is desirableChange management experience and familiarity with a change management toolUnderstanding of DevOps concepts and techniquesStrong understanding and working experience with CI/CD and available tools i.e. usage of Jenkins, Sonar, RDIWorking experience in an agile environmentAbility to quickly acquire new skills and toolsAbility to resolve critical issues in timely mannerBe a clear communicator, document your work, share your ideasReview and be reviewed by your peersExperience releasing to production what you developed and then supporting it Candidate profileBe an approachable and supportive team member with a collaborative attitude within a demanding, maturing Agile environment.Influence and champion new ideas and methodsGreat communication - convey your thoughts, ideas, and opinions clearly and concisely face-to-face or virtually to all levels up and down stream.And equally important - you listen and reflect back what others communicate to youRegularly demonstrate these qualities - drive, motivation, determination, dedication, resiliency, honesty, and enthusiasmBe culturally aware and sensitiveBe flexible under pressureStrong analytical and problem solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent organizational and presentation skillsAbility to communicate with non-technical people
