Additional 10 flexible hours/week to support program objectives

Position Summary:
We are seeking a Lead Instructor for the IT Department to provide academic leadership and deliver high-quality instruction. This part-time leadership role involves teaching IT courses, supervising faculty, managing labs, and ensuring curriculum compliance. Ideal candidates are passionate about technology education and student success.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach assigned IT courses and ensure engaging, effective instruction.
Develop and review IT curriculum and course materials in CANVAS.
Supervise IT faculty and support professional development initiatives.
Monitor classroom and lab activities; design lab assignments aligned with course objectives.
Participate in curriculum committees and advisory boards to maintain program quality and industry relevance.
Advise students, provide tutoring, and support retention goals.
Evaluate student readiness for the workplace through practicum assessments, coding workshops, career days, and guest speakers.
Assist in campus events such as orientations, open houses, and graduations.
Stay current with emerging technologies and teaching methods through conferences and professional associations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
Teaching experience in IT or related disciplines preferred.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Familiarity with CANVAS and educational technology platforms.
