IT Systems Engineer (O365 Workplace, Endpoint & Identity Operations)
Pay: $55k - $60k
Direct Hire, Permanent
Onsite Atlanta, GA 30339
Position Overview
We’re hiring an IT Systems Engineer to support and scale an enterprise workplace technology environment of approximately 6,000 endpoints, including physical devices and Cloud PCs.
This is a Level II / Level III role focused on endpoint engineering, identity, Microsoft 365, and automation. This is not Tier 1 support and not a small‑shop environment. Engineers in this role own escalations, improve systems at scale, and partner closely with leadership in a fast‑paced organization.
Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and administer Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Active Directory, Conditional Access, RBAC, and Group Policy
• Design and manage Intune and Autopilot at scale, including device enrollment, compliance policies, imaging, and MFA onboarding
• Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive
• Own endpoint lifecycle strategy including OS baselines, patching, and configuration standards
• Develop PowerShell scripts and automation to reduce manual work and improve consistency
• Handle Level II and Level III escalations, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement permanent solutions
• Support core networking fundamentals including LAN, WLAN, VPN, DNS, and DHCP (Meraki experience a plus)
• Create and maintain runbooks, playbooks, and technical documentation
• Support high‑visibility Day‑1 onboarding and executive escalations
Required Experience
• 4+ years of experience in enterprise IT systems, endpoint engineering, or advanced technical support on the operating system level with Intune, Entra ID and Microsoft 365
• Experience supporting large environments with thousands of endpoints
• Strong PowerShell scripting and automation experience
• Solid networking fundamentals
Education and Certifications
Associates or Bachelors Degree
Any of the following Certifications:
• Microsoft Endpoint / Modern Desktop
• Microsoft 365 (MS‑102)
• Azure Administrator (AZ‑104)
• CompTIA certifications
