BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Java Engineer for an opportunity in New York, NY!
Position Title: Java Developer
Location: New York, NY
Anticipated Start Date: ASAP
Please note this is the target date and is subject to change. BCforward will send official notice ahead of a confirmed start date.
Expected Duration: 12 months with potential to long term
Job Type: [Contract >=40 HRS WEEKLY], [ON-SITE]
Pay Range: [$60/hr] - [$65/hr]
Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).
Requirements:
• This position is for the Remote Risk Aggregator application development team.
• Work experience in Java and Python application development
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge or experience of agile development (e.g. XP, SCRUM, Kanban) and continuous integration
• Team player, self-motivated and proactive
• This would be a good transition into development for someone with front office support experience that would like to develop their Python and Java programming skills.
• Ideally 2+ years of experience in the Financial Services industry
