We are looking for a full-time Junior Accountant to join the team! This role will assist in managing the accounting and reporting requirements, including Accounts Payable and Receivable and general finance functions for different business units of the company.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Perform accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, including accurate data entry, payment processing, and receipting
Conduct daily bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure accurate cash flow tracking
Monitor customer accounts and chase debtors for outstanding payments
Cross-check invoices with payments and expenses to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies
Respond to supplier queries via phone and email; reconcile supplier statements
Manage petty cash and staff expense reconciliations
Assist with month-end and year-end account reconciliations
Support BAS preparation and lodgement
Handle account-related queries from both internal and external stakeholders
Maintain accurate accounting records and assist with the preparation and organization of financial reports, forms, and analyses
Provide support with other finance-related ad hoc tasks as required
What We’re Looking For
Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a similar accounting role
Degree qualified in Accounting or Finance
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office Suite
Experience with financial software packages such as Xero and/or MYOB
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese (written and verbal) is essential
