About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant, preferably with prior experience working in a Chartered Accountant (CA) firm. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, hands-on experience with Tally, and the ability to independently handle GST filings and related compliance work.
Key Responsibilities
Record and maintain daily accounting entries for sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and expenses.
Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) along with reconciliation of GST input and output.
Maintain accurate books of accounts using Tally ERP / Tally Prime.
Reconcile bank statements, supplier ledgers, customer accounts, and other financial records.
Assist in preparing financial statements, monthly MIS reports, and supporting documents for audits.
Verify vendor invoices, manage payment schedules, and maintain supporting documentation.
Coordinate with auditors and provide necessary data during internal and external audits.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, GST regulations, and organizational policies.
Assist in TDS calculations, filings, and other statutory compliances as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
1–2 years of practical experience in a CA firm (preferred and highly beneficial).
Strong working knowledge of Tally ERP / Tally Prime.
Practical experience in filing GST returns and handling GST-related queries.
Good understanding of basic accounting principles and statutory compliances.
Proficiency in MS Excel and ability to work with spreadsheets.
Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work independently.
Effective communication and time management skills.
