The Opportunity
We are seeking an Accountant to join our rapidly growing team. As an Accountant, you are responsible for assisting with both accounting and operations job functions in support of Guaranteed Rate Insurance. These duties will include handling tasks, process & procedures, and other general responsibilities both specific to Rate and Rate Insurance. This role will report to the Director of Finance - Insurance.

Responsibilities
Accounting
• Assisting with Rate Insurance accounting processes and procedures
• Involved in Agency bill processes for Commercial Department (account billing, payments, and reporting)
• Entry/ Vouchering of invoices in Loan Vision
• Reconciliation of credit card receipts in Concur
• Updating monthly schedules (Tracking broker fees, partnership payments)
• Organize Vendor Invoices and Contracts
• Commission reconciliation - validation of monthly reports to the ledger including downloads and manual entries/imports
• Assist in monthly audit of commissions paid to agents, preparing statements, and resolving discrepancies
• Working within various systems to ensure accuracy of reporting
• Various ad hoc projects to assist with month end close
Qualifications
· BS/BA Accounting Degree- 1 to 3 years accounting experience
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required, strong Excel skills
· Experience with insurance accounting, Applied Epic, and Salesforce a plus
· Fundamental knowledge of Microsoft Office products and accounting software

Hybrid Role: Required to be in office 1+/week. Office located in Chicago, IL (3+40 N. Ravenswood Ave. Chicago, IL 60613)
