Our client is seeking an Entry level Staff Accountant to join their team on a contract to hire basis.
As an Entry-Level Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our accounting and finance operations. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks including maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and assisting with month-end closing processes. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates with a degree in accounting to kickstart their careers and grow within a supportive and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records in accounting software.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare journal entries and assist in the general ledger maintenance.
- Perform account analysis and account reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company procedures.
- Utilize MS Excel for data analysis, financial modeling, and reporting.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
- Assist with audits and other financial reviews.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
Strong skills in MS Excel, including proficiency with functions, pivot tables, and data analysis.
Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
High level of integrity and professionalism.
Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
