The position is expected to develop an understanding of and support administration activities covering front office reception and client meeting management, various practice management and process improvements initiatives, digital accounting software set ups, and accounting and record management technology systems.

Key Responsibilities
Accounting (70%)
Maintain financial records and ensure data integrity using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, TaxCalc and DEXT.
Support bookkeeping, payroll, accounts and taxation work, covering: Double entry bookkeeping.
Payroll administration.
Processing sales invoices and recording receipts and payments.
Assisting with submissions and communications with HMRC and Companies House.
Administrative (30%)
Manage general office tasks such as filing, data entry, and document preparation.
Assist in coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, and supporting administrative workflows.
Manage and “own” operational processes that may include Client Records Management, Lead Management, Company Secretarial, Centralised Mailing and Management Reporting.
Adhere to procedures relating to the proper use and care of office equipment and materials for which the role has responsibility.
Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance and adherence to relevant health and safety procedures.
Ideal Candidate
1-2 years of prior experience working in an accountancy practice in similar role
Demonstrated personal drive, desire, aptitude and ability to assume additional responsibilities
Ability to manage and work to own deadlines with good time management, organisation and multi-tasking prioritisation skills
Solid Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel skills
Ability to develop a sound working knowledge of Bookkeeping Applications, e.g. TaxCalc, QuickBooks, Xero, DEXT, with an enthusiasm for new technologies
Studying towards AAT qualification
