Full job description
As a Junior Accountant, you will support daily and monthly accounting operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting. You’ll assist with internal controls, special projects, and ensure accurate processing of accounts payable and receivable.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare journal entries and reconciliations for daily and monthly closing.
Assist in the preparation and distribution of financial statements.
Support documentation of internal control procedures.
Handle accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) operations.
Set up payments via online banking, issue checks, and manage cash flow.
Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
Assist with vendor and customer data management.
Address AP/AR inquiries, billing discrepancies, and special requirements.
Manage fixed asset data and assist with sales tax-related tasks.
Support payroll and general ledger entries during monthly closing.
Maintain communication with management regarding accounting systems.
Foster a collaborative and communicative team environment.
Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or 1+ year of relevant experience.
Understanding of basic accounting principles and terminology.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
Familiarity with IFRS, sales tax, and accounting software.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Dependable and professional in meeting deadlines and workplace conduct.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Schedule:

8 hour shift
