Description:
Our Hybrid Work Program: To create vibrancy and foster collaboration, while providing for hours spent working from home, we have implemented a hybrid work schedule. We work from the office in Poway on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and every other Wednesday. Fridays and the other Wednesday are spent working from home. Team members can always work more hours in the office, if they choose.
Overall: Under limited supervision, ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
General Accounting:
Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies.
Mail out invoices to customers on a weekly basis.
Review and release orders.
Reconcile 80+ employee monthly expense reports and identify discrepancies.
Manage the fixed asset accounting process, including recording acquisitions and disposals.
Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes
Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits.
Provide necessary documentation and explanations related to financial transactions.
Support senior accountants and finance team as needed.
Utilize advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, PivotTables) for data analysis and reporting.
Ensure meticulous attention to detail.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Requires Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent. Two to five years progressive general accounting experience.
2. Demonstrated computer proficiency in general PC operations and in a Windows 2000 or above environment to; include Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience in the use of order entry database systems or MRP / ERP systems required. Sage experience preferred.
3. Demonstrated proficiency in the following: problem solving, organizational skills, negotiation, attention to detail, multi-tasking, strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
4. Ability to follow through on tasks to completion and willingness to ask questions when necessary.
5. Ability to work effectively in a team-based, fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
Occasional lifting of 10# or less (less than 5% of the time) generally at waist level, some above/below waist, none above shoulders. Must be able to do desk work, which includes computer work for extended periods of time. Some use of telephone.
Compensation details: 25-2+ Hourly Wage
