About the Position
Opportunities exist for full-time Laboratory Technicians based out of our on-site laboratory at Maitland in New South Wales. If you have a drive to produce quality results and a strong team spirit, we would like to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, responabilites will include;
Collection of production and CHPP samples at client sites
Performing a range of preparation and analytical tests including Ash, Moisture, Total Sulfur, Calorific Value, Sizing Analysis etc.
Ensuring that all work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner and to agreed standard operating instructions
Checking and validating all results to ensure that they are within repeatability tolerances
Optimising turnaround time for samples whilst ensuring the highest quality of results is achieved and maintained
Ensuring Quality Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures are followed
Ensuring a high standard of housekeeping and presentation of all equipment and work areas assisting in the operation of the Pilot Scale CHPP
Bulk sample lay down, pickup and weighing back of samples
Skills/Qualifications:
A strong focus on safety, quality and teamwork
Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling duties
Numeracy and literacy skills relevant to the position
Sound time management and organisation skills
Ability to learn on the job
Good Organisation and Communication Skills
Reliable and Trustworthy
Valid Drivers’ License
Forklift licence would be highly regarded
Previous industry experience would be an advantage
As part of the selection process, a pre-employment &/or Order 43 medical exam is required; including a drug and ******* assessment.
