AWX Mackay is seeking highly motivated, reliable labourers to work with our Key Client in the Parks & Open Spaces program, undertaking basic gardening, landscape improvements and general maintenance.
Labourers Parks/Gardens - 4 x Vacancies
These roles will be working roughly 38 hours per week, Monday - Friday. You may be required to work outside of rostered hours including weekends and be able to travel locally where camp and accommodation will be provided.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Maintain and inspect footpaths, gardens, playgrounds and equipment
• Clean, maintain, and repair damaged parks and gardens
• Operation of various plant and machinery such as power tools, tractors, mowers, chainsaws, mulchers, brush cutters, chippers
• Spraying pesticides where required
• Working safely in accordance with WH&S obligations.
REQUIREMENTS:
• MUST be able to complete a pre-employment medical with Drug/Alcohol screen
• Experience operating hand tools, small plant and equipment
• Experience in the use of herbicides and pesticides
• White Card
• Own transport and current Car Licence essential
• MR Licence highly desirable
• Physically fit and able to work extended hours in the heat
• Ability to Identify and report hazards.
